How to Use the AI Image Upscaler
This tool lets you increase the resolution of your images for free — directly in your browser. All processing happens locally on your device, so your images are never uploaded to a remote server. Follow the five simple steps below to enhance your photos.
Step 1: Upload Your Images
You can add images to the upscaler in two easy ways:
- Drag and Drop: Simply drag your image files from your computer and drop them anywhere inside the dashed box that says "Drag & drop files here".
- Browse Files: Click the "Browse Files" button to open your computer's file explorer, select the images you want to upscale, and click Open.
Note: You can upload up to 5 images at a time. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, and HEIC (browser support for HEIC may vary).
Step 2: Review Your Files
After uploading, a preview will appear for each file. Each preview shows:
- A thumbnail of the image
- The file name
- File size
- Original image dimensions
If you decide not to process an image, remove it from the queue by clicking the circular "X" button next to its details.
Step 3: Choose the Upscale Size
Once at least one image is uploaded, controls appear below the preview area. You can select one of two enlargement options:
- 200% — doubles each dimension of the original image.
- 400% — quadruples each dimension of the original image. This option is selected by default.
Select 200% if you prefer a smaller enlargement, or keep 400% for a larger increase in resolution.
Step 4: Start the Upscaling Process
Click the orange "Start Upscaling" button to begin. A progress bar will appear for each image so you can see processing status in real time.
Performance depends on your device — for most modern computers the process is very fast and often takes less than 10 seconds per image.
Step 5: Download Your Enhanced Images
When the upscaling finishes, the preview area updates to show the new dimensions and file size of each enhanced image. Click the green "Download" button next to an image to save the high-resolution version to your computer.
Security & Privacy
All processing is performed locally in your browser — your images are not uploaded to any server, and temporary files are kept only on your device. This makes the process fast and preserves your privacy.
